The BigBlueButton work continues. There’s always something to improve - performance optimizations, UI tweaks, integration points. Video conferencing software is complex, with real-time communication, media handling, and multi-user state management all intersecting.
Steady Contributions
My contribution activity this year has been the highest it’s been in a while. When you’re stuck at home, there’s more time for side projects and open-source work.
Reflection
The pandemic forced a lot of technology adoption that might have taken years otherwise. Remote work tools, video conferencing, digital collaboration - all of it accelerated dramatically.
